The Casino at Gold Haven Stay
Adjacent to the hotel lobby at Gold Haven Stay, our casino is a relaxed room with its own bar, open long after Queenstown has settled for the night. The floor holds a bank of slot machines, table games including blackjack, roulette, poker and baccarat, and a small stage that carries live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Entry is complimentary for house guests and visitors alike. You do not need to be staying with us to play — walk in from Hallenstein Street, show photo ID at the door and the room is yours for the evening.
On the Casino Floor
Blackjack, roulette, poker and baccarat, dealt by our croupiers from 6pm. Minimum bets start at NZ$5 and our staff will walk newcomers through any table.
A bank of slot machines from 5c denominations upward, from classic reels through to the latest multi-line games.
The casino bar serves until close, with Central Otago wines, local beer and a short cocktail list. Live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Photo ID is checked at the door under the Gambling Act 2003. Entry is free for hotel guests and visitors alike. Dress is smart casual.

Entry, identification and host responsibility
Entry is restricted to persons aged 20 years and over. Photo ID is checked at the door in accordance with the Gambling Act 2003 — a passport, a New Zealand driver licence or a Kiwi Access Card is accepted. Anyone who appears intoxicated will not be admitted to the gaming floor.
We take host responsibility seriously. Our staff are trained to recognise the signs of problem gambling and to approach players discreetly. Break periods and self-exclusion are available on request at the cage or from any duty manager, clocks are visible throughout the room, and there are no ATMs on the gaming floor. All gaming takes place on-site only; we do not offer online gaming of any kind.
